Description: | |
Sometimes we get so busy taking care of others that we don't make time for ourselves. The idea of this swap is to write a to-do list for your partner (a la Honey-Do list) and assign them little tasks that will make them take some time out for themselves. Example: 1. When you wake up in the morning, take time to stretch and be grateful for a new day. 2. Drink a cup of tea with the tv off and your phone in another room. 3. Set the timer for five minutes and flip to a random page in your favorite book and start reading until it rings. 4. Write down three things you're proud to have accomplished last month. These are just a few ideas. There is no minimum or maximum of "tasks to complete," five is a good number to shoot for if you end up stumped. Of course, you can do more if inspiration strikes. How you present your list (note card, typed list, handwritten letter, etc.) is sender's choice. Obviously you won't know if your partner follows through on your to-do list, but the point is not requiring your partner to do all of the things you put down but to share ideas of how to take a quick moment and perform a little self-care in between trying to save the world and just keeping things from falling apart. Include three different tea bags (sender's choice) and one book mark with your list. Bookmarks should either be purchased or handmade, no freebies or advertisements. This international swap is open to users with a rating of 4.98+ and new users with a well-filled out profile. You must have signed in at least two days prior to partners being assigned. If you have flaked on one of my previous swaps, you will be banned. I will angel after you have contacted your partner and left a 1 rating. Please remember to mark your swap as sent when you send it out, I will be sending courtesy messages to those who are still listed as "Not Sent" when the final day to send rolls around and I'd rather not nag someone who has already put theirs in the mail. I hosted a similar swap last month in the Sympathy, Empathy, Kindness and Support group and it was well-received, I hope this will make even more people take a little time out and replenish themselves.
