Backspindlewinter can be long and cold ... unless you are in Fourecks, then I believe that it mostly involves knocking the sand out of your drink. Or possibly you are in Klatch, where you may be trying to avoid having a camel spit in your tea. To return to the theme, Backspindlewinter. Warmth. The need for humans to be human. It's that -olly time of year in which the Hogfather (or possibly a ... reasonable ... surrogate) does his work. Sit down with the kiddies (well, you can pretty much watch with the kiddies) and watch Hogfather, curl up with a good book, or perhaps find a slightly reliable witness who refuses to say "Nevermore" to tell the tale of a Hogswatch gone more human to you. Or perhaps just recall the traditional Hogswatches of days past. Then create a seasonal greeting for -- oh, let's say that two is a good number of greetings for Hogwatch celebration. You may choose any theme or words that express the Hogswatch state of mind to you. I will post some links for possible Discworld themes (there will be several conventions in 2017, and they might provide fun themes ...) below. Happy Hogswatch, any theme, 2 Hogswatch greetings in whatever form you choose to 2 partners, kick back with some (more) pork pies and a glass of scrumpy and look back fondly on the evidence of your humanity ... I will Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg all swaps. Swap image is from Discworld Stamp Catalogue. |
