This swap is ONLY for members of 1on1 Traders group!!! I always get very excited about advent, and in the last few years had my very own advent calendar. If you like to open a little surprise every day in the run up to Christmas.. this is YOUR swap. For this swap you will have ONE partner, for this partner, you will put together 25 surprises. These can be anything christmas or profile related you want them to be with the exception of the following: For the 6th of december you will give your partner something to do with Saint Nikolaus. In Europe Saint Nikolaus is celebrated widely, with the Netherlands having their main christmas celebrations around this day. In Germany it is tradition to leave out your boot (or in some counties a platter) the nigth before and on the 6th Saint Nikolaus will have left small presents, sweets and clementines/nuts etc. for you IF you have been good :) Here are some links for you to look at: Germanculture We have some traditions of our own in our family, the most important at Christmas being that we celebrate each Advent specially. We buy our Christmas tree on the 1st advent sunday and start decorating, each sunday, we all add ONE more decoration each to the tree. We also have homemade biscuits and hot chocolate (gluehwein for the adults) and light a candle on our advent wreath. On one Sunday we make decorations like straw stars, window pictures, gift tags and so on. So, you will include the following on the advent sundays: -1x christmas tree decorations (these may be handmade or storebought) -1x recipe card (nicely decorated) with a lovely baking recipe -1x candle (this could be a tealight in a decorated holder or a more fancy candle) -1x a small handmade decoration Include one larger gift for your partner for christmas day to open (or christmas eve, whenever you traditionally have santa/christuskind visit your house) The remaining 19 presents can be anything you think you partner would love, be that craft supplies, chocolates, ribbons, fabric, decorations, socks, scarves, whatever.. so long as you keep your partners profile in mind and they fit into an envelope! Please use good quality envelopes, or make your own!!!! Lastly, wrap all your presents nicely!!!!! put them into some sort of container (a handmade stocking, a decorated shoebox, a christmassy pillowcase, a teatowel clevery wrapped) and make sure you label each parcel from 1-25. Expect to spend around about $15 (£7.50, €10) When you get your parcel.. absolutely NO peeking :D yeah right who am i kidding!!! seriously.. no opening no25 on day 1!!!! Are you still with me? This must be the LONGEST swap description in the history of swapbot!!! And im still not done..
