Description:

For this swap you will send 5 partners 1 postcard each. This is an INTERNATIONAL swap open to anyone with a rating of 4.7 or higher. Newbies welcome with filled out profiles.

The postcard itself doesn't have to be Christmas themed (but it would be nice if it was) and it can be handmade or store bought. You MUST include at least one of your favourite Christmas recipes on the postcards. The recipe can be for any type of Christmas fare such as cookies, edible decorations, edible gifts, main meals, desserts, etc, as long as it is Christmas themed or is something that you associate with that time of year.

Please also include your swap-bot name on the postcard so your partners know who to rate. Do not sign up for this swap if you don't intend to send your postcards or rate the ones you get, these are basic premises to swapping!

We will be sending these postcards naked (no envelopes), unless of course your partner specifies otherwise.

Send date is a bit before Christmas so we can hopefully enjoy some of the recipes we recieve in time for the festive season.

PLEASE be aware when signing up for international swaps that post takes longer for some people. I have had complaints about it taking a long time even though I almost always mail EARLY. Where I live average post time(even for a postcard) is 3-4 weeks.

I live in Australia and I know all too well how long the postal system can take! Before complaining about a partner being late please check the date stamp on their postcard to see when it was actually sent...

This is one of the reasons I made this swap so early before christmas, so we can hopefully get most of our postcards before the big day and actually use some of the recipes we get in our celebrations... :)

I have gone through the list and banned a couple of people who haven't met the requirements of this swap and will be assigning partners later today just to give a couple of newbies a chance to fill out their profiles.

I am also going to be doing a lucky dip with all of your names as I have a little present for one lucky person! I will keep it a secret, so keep your eyes glued to your mailbox for an extra christmas present :)

Happy Swapping everybody!! And I hope you all have a wonderful christmas...

OK, so I forgot about the time difference between here and the US! It is now the 18th here, but only the 17th still there... I will assign partners tomorrow as soon as it lets me do so :)

Apparently there is a "nation-wide shortage of $1.35 stamps" here in South Australia so my apologies to those who receive a postcard covered in stamps - I had to use 3+ the airmail stamp. Huzzah. lol

Most people love stamps Metanoia! the more the better... strange though, I purchased 20 of them without a problem the other day (in Victoria though)... and if you have any other christmas mailing to do you can get international christmas rate stamps for $1.20 instead of the $1.35 ones... I didn't know about them either until the lady behind the counter asked if I was sending them for Christmas... won't help you with this swap now obviously, but if you have any more before Christmas :)

I overestimated how many christmas stamps I would need, so I am drawing some more prize winners to recieve runner-up lucky dip prizes... hope they get to you in time :D

Thanks for the prize card! The recipe sounds really yummy! I'm finally getting around to rating and it took me a while to figure out why I couldn't find your name on my list to rate! :D
