PBS: Rainbow of Surprises (USA)

This swap is for a package of profile surprises every color of the rainbow (okay, so really just the basic six with pink added since lots of people love it). It's a fun challenge, and a chance to go shopping for someone else and KNOW that they'll absolutely love what you get them and be excited by the surprise. Also, how cool will it be to open up your package and feast your eyes on that rainbow of goodness chosen especially for you?!

Due to postage costs, I am making this particular swap USA-only. If you would like to host an international or other regional version, please contact me and we'll set it up so you can do so.

Here are the rules:

Before partners are assigned:
In order for it to BE a surprise, and give your partner the fun of a real shopping experience, please double-check your profile and make sure you have LOTS of options for themes and types of items you'd love to receive.

IF YOU HAVE A STRONG AVERSION TO ANY PARTICULAR COLOR, PLEASE NOTE IT IN THE COMMENTS SECTION BELOW BEFORE PARTNER SIGNUP. Otherwise, the whole rainbow is fair game.

Once partners have been assigned

1. Check the comments section below to see if your partner wants you to exclude any particular color from your Rainbow of Surprises.

2. Go to your partner's profile page and do some in-depth research. Read the whole profile. Is there a link to etsy or other wishlists? Check these out for inspiration to see what kinds of things your partner likes. Diligently regard and avoid any dislikes.

3. Now, you get to go shopping for your partner! The item(s) you choose should total $10-$12 BEFORE shipping costs. If you're buying online rather than in a local shop, you can often get a bargain on shipping if you buy more than one thing from the same seller. Online sellers will often agree to ship directly to your partner, and add a note if you request it.

4. Include at least one profile surprise in each of the following colors (unless they've requested below, before partner assignment, that you omit a particular color):

RED • ORANGE • YELLOW • GREEN • BLUE • PURPLE • PINK

1. Send out your package with tracking, and send your partner a message with the tracking number. Tracking is included for first class and priority rate packages through the USPS. If you are shipping direct to your partner from a third party:

Please let your partner know once you've paid and their package is shipped, and also if more than one parcel is expected, though you can keep the items themselves a surprise.

All group members must maintain well-filled-out profiles and meet the requirement of at least a 4.98 rating to join. In the unlikely event that it's necessary, I will angel this swap after you have attempted to contact your partner and honestly rated a "1" for a no-send.

In order to receive a 5, you must send items totaling at least $10-$12 before shipping which are directly inspired by your partner's profile interests and/or wishlists. You must include at least one item in each color mentioned above (unless your partner requested that you exclude a particular color).

Items should be new, not used. Because value is subjective, and has been an issue in other swap-bot swaps, I'm going to say NO handmade items from yourself in this swap (we do and will continue to have other swaps for that) unless they're extras.

Be sure to include a note with your name, your partner's name, and the name of this swap. You aren't required to wrap the gifts (though that would be sweet), but please be sure the swap is packaged in a manner such that it will not be harmed in transit.

Please rate anyone a 5 as long as these criteria are met. Hearts are of course at your own discretion.

There will be plenty of time to update your wishlist before partner assignment, and two full weeks to shop once partners have been assigned; however, please do not sign up if you can't make your purchases and ship your package out by the send-by date.
