Cephalopods are fascinating and very hard to cuddle under normal circumstances ... which is why we need a cuddle-fish swap for huggable cephalopods. I found some fun tutorials ... such as this one for a stubby squid, another cute and round octopus, Small felt octopus with sequined tentacles, 8-foot long squid, you know, just in case you live next door to your swap partner ..., minky cuttlefish, a socktopus, squid pencil case that could easily be a plushie, vampire squid pattern for $, fleece squid hat that could be adapted to be a toy, crocheted squid, and just because it is so %$%^$%*&^ cool, this Temperature-Sensing Nautilus Bag, which could just be a knit bag or toy .. ! Yet a few more fun links: Felted Nautilus Pin by lolkins_marusya on Flickr, and a cool stuffed nautilus from Etsy. There are some fun patterns for $ and free patterns on Ravelry as well, if you want to knit or crochet. Let's send one huggable stuffed cephalopod to one partner -- any medium or style as long as it is huggable, stuffed, and your best effort :) Let's say somewhere between 6 x 6 inches and 8 feet x 3 feet (just in case you live next door to your partner and love the giant pattern above, of course ...). OPen to all LBOE members in good standing, I will cephalod all unsent swaps :) |
