Description:

The May 2017 Fandom in a Bag swap is Star Wars. May the 4th be With You!

Step 1: Step 1: Please list in the comments your favorite characters, movies, shows, books, or any other preference you may have.

Step 2: After partners are assigned, check to see what your partner likes. You can follow-up with a message if you need to know more. Then scrounge up, buy, and/or create items that fit in a bag. Your bag must contain at least 7 different types of items although more is certainly encouraged (PLEASE try to make it look full). Different types of items means 5 ATCs, 3 pins, 2 postcards would be 10 items but only 3 different types. The swap requirement is for 7 different types in a bag.

Some ideas of themed items: stickers, ATCs, postcards, toys/action figures, comics, note cards, pins/buttons, magnets, jewelry, trading cards, legal music CDs, charms, ornaments, books, bookmarks, address labels, postcards, plushies/stuffies, promo stills/autograph cards, fainfic, zines, etc.

More specific ideas: Jedi Academy exam sheet, podracing betting card/trick dice, hat/scarf to keep your partner warm on Hoth, mini light saber, mini versions of the droids your partner might be looking for, Han in carbonite ice cube trays, postcards or travel posters from different plants/systems, language dictionaries/cheat sheet, etc.

Be sure to check your partner's profile so you don't send anything he or she might be allergic to.

Step 3: Put the items in a ziplock-type bag. Size: 1 gallon (measures about 10 inches by 11 inches or 28cm by 26.5 cm). You can decorate the bag or incorporate the bag into something (mount it or sew something around it). If you want to make or buy a bag instead of using a ziplock plastic one, that's fine as well, but it should be at least a gallon in size. All items you gather or create should fit into the bag (if a couple are too big, that's fine).

Assemble your bags during the month of May and please send by the deadline (May 31).

Group rating rules apply. NO FLAKING ALLOWED! Flakers will be on the wrong side of a light saber.

Any thing or anyone from episodes IV, V or VI.
No Jar Jar Binks of Rogue One. I like Rogue One, but the "first" three are my favorite. Especially Leia or Darth Vader.

I forgot to say that I do like K2SO from Rogue One.

LOVE: Ewan's Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Finn, Poe, (Stormpilot forever!) Leia, the Jedi Order as a whole (especially the temple, academy, culture, etc.), BB-8

LIKE: Ahsoka Tano, C-3PO, R2-D2, Han, Luke, Yoda (pretty much all the good guys), Ewoks

I only saw Rogue One once and am not really feeling it yet. I thought it was a brilliant the way it filled in some gaps of knowledge, but otherwise not yet in love with it. I do adore K2S0 though.

My friend is mad for Poe Dameron, though. He's hard to find stuff for, but any and all Poe things would be adored, especially handmade/one-of-a-kind things. I'd love you forever.

If you're in the especially generous, buying mood, I really want Poe's uniform for a Build-a-Bear. Workshop bear. But no worries if that doesn't happen! I'm sure I'll love whatever you come up with.

I love the characters and story of Rogue One - possibly my favorite movie, if I discount that the effects were more modern than the first movies (sometimes clunky effects which I love). I also love Episodes IV, V, and VI, although I will always call Episode IV "Star Wars" in my heart. It was my daughter's first movie - we took her with us to see it in the theater in 1977 when she was just a few weeks old. It was fun to watch Rogue One last December in the theater and come home and immediately watch Episode IV - made Rogue One even better for how they wove the two movies together. I also really liked The Force Awakens, and can't wait for Episode VIII!
I love all the droids. I think my favorite is K2SO, but I also find C3PO so charming. Love the Millennium Falcon and the X-Wing Fighters. Characters...hmmm...I probably could go on and on with this. So here goes: love Bodhi Rook, Cassian Andor, Han Solo, Jyn Erso, Chirrut Imwe and Baze Malbus, Kylo Ren, young Darth Vader, Finn and Rey. I'm oddly more fond of Luke and Leia than I was years ago. And I absolutely love Chewbacca. I don't particularly care for Jar Jar Binks, but I don't completely discount him. I have all the movies except I, II, and III. I could find myself loving almost anything Star Wars related, home-made or store-bought.

I like episodes IV, V, VI, VII and Rogue One the best. I love Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, Luke, Yoda, Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, Rey, Finn, Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, Chirrut Imwe, Boba Fett, R2D2, storm troopers and bounty hunters in general.

I do not really like Episodes I-III, but I do like Obi-wan and Darth Maul, lol.

I have all of the funko pop figures for Rogue One EXCEPT for K230, and I collect Star Wars lego sets. I would love to get a Yoda, Luke, or Princess Leia lego figure if you would be so inclined :)
