Description:

PLEASE NOTE: Well-established folks ONLY (50 or more Type 2/Type 3 swaps completed). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wouldn't it be great to send a postcard and see where it had been all around the world? Then get it returned back to you after its adventures were over? Let's do it! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST ROUND:

Choose a card. A card that you think people would enjoy seeing (however, PLEASE DO NOT USE EXTRA LARGE POSTCARDS THAT WILL REQUIRE EXTRA POSTAGE!). Put your name and address (including the country!) on the right hand side of the card. Put the title of the swap ("Adventures of the Traveling Postcard") and your screen name at the top of the left hand side. PUT IT IN AN ENVELOPE and send it off to your partner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ IF YOU PARTICIPATED IN THE PREVIOUS ROUND(S):

Just write your name, username, city, state/country, on the left hand side of the postcard you received in the previous round. Put it in an envelope and send it to your partner! (DO NOT WRITE YOUR ENTIRE ADDRESS ON THE POSTCARD - THIS TAKES UP TOO MUCH SPACE!) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hang on to the postcard(s) that you receive in each round. We will have another round each month. Sign up when you receive yours from the previous round, start another one in rotation, or contact me, as I may have a postcard that needs to be put back into rotation as well! When the left side of the postcard is filled up with the names and cities of those that have received the postcard, the last person will stamp your actual postcard and send it back to you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ IMPORTANT:

1.) Please don't send more than 3 cards per round. Hang on to the extra ones and send them in following rounds. If you have too many, please contact me.

2.) Before sending out the cards to the next person, do check if the cards belongs to someone who is still participating. If they are not, please contact me about it.

3.) If you decide to stop the swap, please contact me so you can send your received cards to me and I can keep them in rotation.

4.) Do NOT send the postcard back to the original owner until the left side of the postcard is completely filled unless instructed otherwise. CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE NOT SENDING YOUR PARTNER'S CARD BACK TO THEM AS PART OF THE SWAP ROUND YOU'RE ON.

5.) Do not destroy, bend, write on the front of, or ANYTHING else that destroys the integrity of the postcard. Treat the postcard how you would want yours treated. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Well-established folks ONLY (50 or more Type 2/Type 3 swaps completed) and I will ban if I feel that you may be a questionable swapper. I want to do my best to ensure that everyone receives their postcards back. So don't join if you don't think you can commit to it for the long haul. I will be checking EVERYONE'S profile and will ban anyone that I feel like. Thanks and happy swapping!

I wonder: are you all still okay with a round every month or do you think it is a bit too much/fast?

Furthermore: if you have someone elses card to send on, don't add new cards to the enveloppe as well. There is no need to bring one of your own in rotation if you have a card to send on that belongs to someone else. ONLY bring a new card into rotation if you have no cards to send on.

if you have too many cards to send on, let me know and you can send those to me. If you need a card to send on, also contact me about it.

I think it's fine the way it is. Once a month. More would be too much, less I'd probably forget about it. :) Thanks for your hard work in hosting these swaps, Moniek.

tizzicat 05/ 2/2017 #

Once a month is fine.
I do put a new card into rotation every 10 rounds, as I'm sure mine have all got lost (been doing it since round 9 and never had one back yet!)

Coss 05/ 2/2017 #

I think once a month is great. It is a quick turn around and hopefully our cards will get returned to us within a shorter time frame.

LisaLisa3 05/ 2/2017 #

I like the once a month, thank you for hosting this series. : )

pne 05/ 2/2017 #

I'd actually prefer a little bit more often to be honest, perhaps every three weeks. But once a month is fine. Doesn't have to be less as far as I'm concerned.

mdkrouwel 05/ 2/2017 #

Considering all the reactions here and by e-mail as well, I will keep it at once a month. I was worried maybe once a month was a bit too fast for many, but luckily it is not! :-)

LovelyLindaSwap 05/ 4/2017 #

Once a month is fine. If you make any changes, I would like to see it more often than once a month.

ReLigt 05/ 7/2017 #

I like it once per month. It helps that it's always the same time, it helps me stay on schedule and remember to sign up for the next round. Thanks for all you do to coordinate @mdkrouwel I love this swap. :)

lihior 05/ 9/2017 #

One per month is cool. Thanks for hosting!

pne 05/10/2017 #

I agree with ReLigt about the "always at the same time" being really useful!

flowerchild 05/11/2017 #

Sending home - @dawnielynn looks like round #1 ?!?!?!? passing on @Mimi7 R# 40

carol 05/12/2017 #

I agree--once a month is fine. If anything, as some have mentioned above, it could be more often, but since it is international, once a month is probably best. Thanks for hosting! Just a note to @tizzicat and others who think their cards are lost, 10 rounds is nowhere near long enough to get one back! Most cards end up with 20+ signatures! Wait a while!
