Calling all USA vintage postage stamp lovers. With my depleted vintage stamp supply replenished once again, let's have some fun! This goal of this swap is to challenge ourselves by seeing how many lower valued stamps we can combine on our mailing envelope to get to the cost to send a first class letter (49 cents) to our partner. By vintage, I mean the stamps you have to lick or use a glue stick on. No current, self-adhesive stamps are allowed in this swap. I'm not setting a minimum amount of stamps you have to use, but as this is a challenge, hopefully you'll really work at it to use the most you can. Try not to go over 49 cents, but if you do, don't stress about it. One or two cents over is ok. :) The postage stamp designs should all be different, but you may use more than one of the same denomination (i.e. one 6 cents stamp of flowers, one 6 cents stamp of horses, etc.). You might think about adding something flat to the inside of your envelope for stability so it doesn't get crunched in the postal machines - maybe a notecard or letter saying hello (you might have other ideas). Lastly, anyone can join as long as they follow through with the swap. Please remember to include your name & swap-bot ID, and make sure to rate your partner when you receive the swap. Have fun! :) P.S. This is one of those swaps that can be worked on ahead of time so you'll be ready to go when partners are assigned. |
