Ever since the T-Rex holiday sweaters started making their rounds, I cannot help but think of dinosaurs in December. Last year, I stenciled my own T-Rex and unicorn sweater, but this year I am thinking Godzilla, having relinquished sweater #1 to the universe via the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store.
In this swap, let's create something dinosaur (or maybe Godzilla?) for one partner.
Some ideas (and crazy dreams): insanely creative and large crocheted dino hat, famous on Ravelry Godzilla knitted shawl, a number of crocheted dinos including a less dramatic version of above hat, large collection of dinosaur knits including a very adorable grumpy dinosaur stuffie, more crocheted dinos including a stegosaurus, more crochet dino patterns, check out the adorable newborn baby photo shoot prop as well as a very diverse collection of amigurumi species ..., the most detailed triceratops knitting pattern that you will ever find $, cartoonishly cute stego crochet $, Godzilla crochet amigurumi, if you like to noodle around with making your own amigurumi designs, here's a great Godzilla inspiration, no pattern, Ditto for a child dressed up as Godzilla or maybe a Godzilla spirit?, Tea Rex tea cosy $, list which includes a knitted colorwork afghan -- squares would make great coasters as a smaller project for a swap, the most amazing dino socks ever, just for inspiration or if you are madly in love with a paleontologist for example, dino amigurumi with an acorn snail shell, oh I could go on all day but check out the cat dino hat and diplodocus scarf on this list ... and the Godzilla vs Moth-Ra mom creation and political commentary.
Sigh, I hate to leave you here -- there are so many excellent dino patterns.
Go in peace, have fun, and I will T Rex all unsent swaps. Image credit: bombastitch on Etsy -- also available in other holiday versions for cross-stitch ...
