Description:

Go through your old magazines and catalogs and find a cool picture that is roughly the size of a postcard. cut it out and paste it onto a piece of cardboard or cardstock and send it to your partner! You can embellish or decorate more if you want but it's not necessary, just be sure that everything is firmly affixed and won't get caught or jam up the postal machinery.

Please send your card naked (stamped, written on, no envelope), and write a nice note to your partner on the back. This is sender's choice, but it would be cool if you could check out your partner's profile beforehand.

The easiest way to make a handmade postcard is to take an 8.5 x 11 inch piece of card stock (120lb is perfect) and cut it into quarters to make four(4) 4.25 x 5.5 inch cards. You will only need one for this swap, so you can save the others for future swaps!

I've never had a complaint about the card stock going through the mail, but if you want to use a different weight paper or to make a different size card, please make sure it will go through the post; the USPS site for postcard standards is here

As with any swap, please don't forget to write “swap bot”, the swap name, and your user name somewhere on the card so your partner knows who to rate!

You can also 'laminate' it by putting clear packing tape over it. Helps keep all your glued on stuff together and it will go through the postal machines easier.
