Description:

This is the Halloween themed version of my rounds of Happy Mail, Yay! (that you can see here).

Don't you just love getting home and finding awesome and colorful mail in your mailbox? If you do, then this is the swap for you.

The requirements are:

Send a super cute envelope with a Halloween theme, using any medium you want, stickers, washi tape, rubber stamps, anything, just make sure it looks super cute. No sticker slapping, this is a mail art swap, you have to put your heart into it. There’s no need to be extra talented, but you need to do your best to make your partner happy.

Include the following flat items:

  • 1 Halloween themed sticker sheet
  • 5 washi tape samples (12 inch/30 centimeters each). If possible, send Halloween themed washi samples, if that’s not possible, choose Halloween colors like black, orange, purple, maybe white as a ghost, anything that looks more Halloweeny.
  • 1 Halloween postcard (store-bought or handmade)
  • 1 teabag If you can find a Halloween themed teabag, then great. If not, choose a flavor that reminds you of Halloween or a teabag with an orange, black or purple wrapping (or any other wrapping that you think fits the theme). And if you’re feeling extra creative, make your own teabag wrapping (remember not to take the teabag off of its original wrapping).
  • 3 Halloween themed items of your choice Store-bought or handmade. Some ideas: bookmarks, extra stickers, tags, die cuts, stationery, blank notecards, handmade envelopes, confetti, postage stamps, ephemera, smash bits, project life cards, the list is endless.

Please also include a nice Halloween themed note or card for your partner and don't forget to include your username and swap name.

This is a sender's choice swap, so you can get started on your swap as soon as you want. It's always nice to check your partner's profile, but ultimately this is sender's choice, so if you receive something you don't like, you can send it in another round of these swaps or any other swap.

The total weight of your envie should be no more than 40-50 grams, so that neither of us spends too much on postage. Use postage stamps if possible.

Here’s the rules:

(If you’ve joined previous rounds, please read this again, as these are new rules that I am hoping will make these rounds a lot more safe).

No newbies, only experienced swappers. This is a flake free, drama free zone. Only people with a 4.98 rating. You must have at least 40 rated type 2 and 3 swaps (in total). I will be looking for all sorts of swaps, not just postcard swaps as they don’t say anything about swappers being either thoughtful, creative or awesome and that’s what I am looking for. No recent or unsolved 1's and 3’s. If you have a especial case and feel like you make the cut, feel free to contact me. I will be carefully looking at all profiles and reserve the right to ban anyone who seems flaky or problematic. I have a long list of swappers I don’t want in my swaps, because of my own bad experiences and the advice of some other wonderful hosts and swappers, so if I ban you with no explanation, trust me, I have a reason for doing so.

Before joining, please check if you meet the requirements. If you don’t, please DO NOT join this swap. As a host, I take my time checking all participants and making sure they don’t have late swaps on their dashboard, logged in during the past two days and have the amount of rated swaps I ask for. It takes you less than 3 minutes to check your own ratings and situation, but it takes me a long time to go over all swappers that don’t meet the requirements and still joined my swap (and which I’ll have to ban anyway). So I’d really appreciate if you could keep that in mind.

Note to newbies: If you have sent 40 type 2 and 3 swaps (in total) it doesn’t mean you meet the requirements to join this swap. To meet the requirements, you must have at least 40 ratings for any type of swap (except for electronic swaps). It does not mean you must have sent 40 swaps, you must have been rated for all of them. I always run into participants who do not meet the requirements and still join my swaps and then complain when I ban them, please do not join if you do not meet the requirements. I am hosting this swap on a monthly basis, so if you’re a reliable swapper, you can join in future rounds, once you meet the requirements.

Note to participants: Please rate your partner promptly. If your swap is taking too long, get in touch with your partner to see if she forgot to rate / she’d like to wait a bit longer / she thinks it’s time to do a resend, and keep me posted. If I or your partner have to pretty much chase you down to get you to respond to a message, rate or solve any pending issue, I'll ban you from my future swaps. Nobody wants non-communicators, non-raters and unreliable swappers. This is supposed to be fun, let’s keep it that way.

I will angel this swap in case someone flakes, but I'm trying to be as cautious as I can and really hope we can all have fun with this swap.

If you have any questions, suggestions or doubts, please don't hesitate to contact me or add a comment in this swap.

Happy swapping everyone!
