THIS IS NOT STICKER SLAPPING SWAP and GLUE STICK DREAM: The journal I am making for my partner will take me roughly 2-3 months. So please take your time, do this with care and most of all set out to impress your partner. My goal is when my partner opens my swap her jaw hits the floor. I expect this from everyone that signs up for this swap. So if you don't plan on following these rules, save yourself the headache of joining. For this swap you will take a composition book (the cow print kind) or another suitable journal and decorate the front and back covers. You can even use a 3 ring hard cover binder (((I use these when I do this type of swap))). You want to make it pretty, something nice to look at it. Personally I always make mine bigger, bc I am a scrapbooker by nature. In the journal/Scrapbook you are to include these things: 25 recipes ( 5 appetizers, 5 entrees, 5 desserts, 5 snacks and 5 sender's choice) 20 cleaning tips 20 happy quotes 20 handy tips 10 crafty ideas 10 decorating ideas 10 weekend activities in your area Lists: How to save money Ways to de-stress Reasons you love your spouse Reasons you love your kids/pets *IT SOMETIMES HELPS TO INCLUDE A TABLE OF CONTENTS SO YOU CAN KEEP TRACK OF EVERYTHING AND MAKE SURE ALL THE POINTS ARE INCLUDED. ITEMS: A swap related gift with a price of at least $10. Don't feel like you have to group everything together in a section. You don't have to cram all the quotes together or all the tips together. Just sprinkle them through out your journal. This swap is for USA Swappers. Since this is a very time consuming swap, I do not want any flakers please so ratings of 4.9 at least. A filled out profile is also a MUST! I will ban anyone I feel is shady. Newbies (ie: people with NO ratings) not allowed. But this swap has a very long time to go before you send out, so work on ratings! At least 20 MAILED Type 3 Swaps. 1 partner of course. *Please knock your partners socks off, impress us with your creativity, no sticker slapping and just throwing this together, its so important to take the time and do this one right, plus I am giving you a plenty of time

Hi Thanks for all of your fabulous comments. Sadly my first journal was never photographed, that was before over crazy about documenting and tracking all of my swaps.

Write recipes down on cards or write them in the book? On cards or in the book however you prefer to set yours up. ((I usually make mine out a 3 ring binder or very large scrapbook album collage everything and make it a serious showpiece, I spare no expense))

Written by hand, typed, photo copied or any way? You can make the whole thing out one particular way or mix it up. If you are photo copying make sure its in color. Some recipes I have held on to the orignial for years and made copies when I needed to use them.

Feel free to build your book, binder or scrapbook album out of a theme color, from the book or the movie, I get more inspiration this way.

When mine is finished it looks something similar to a glossy well finished magazine or an over the top scrapbook.

I love doing these and dont do them often bc of the time sensitive labor. But I thought it was time to do another one, so I am give it a go.

Swap Related Gift: Something that goes along with this particular swap. Recipe Card Holder, Kitchen Towels, Apron, Monthly Planner, Fancy Rubber gloves. Anything you think would fit the theme of this swap.

@Libertylithium partners will be assigned really soon. You can decorate the covers according to her likes and preferences, and you are also able to decorate in the Stepford theme from the book or movie (like I will be doing with my binder) or the 1950's kitchsy theme too. This is also acceptable. If you do not have kids or pets, please give us things you like to do in your spare time and some unique places you shop. I will let this be at your discretion, just notate some where that you do not have a spouse or pet and that you are subbing to extra sections of your choice.

Finally finished up the Stepford Journal for my partner. Putting it in the mail tomorrow morning and sending priority express. I will swap message my partner with the tracking number.
