Description:

I've seen a lot of newbies trying to join my swaps who are just under the minimum requirement for rated Type 3 swaps. I figured I'd try to help them out and host a newbie friendly Type 3 swap series so they can continue to build up those ratings. Of course, if you're already an established swapper, you can join too.

To make this easy, all items will be sender's choice (which includes handmade items):

1 factory sealed teabag

1 bookmark

1 sticker sheet

10 post-its (small sticky note pages)

1 touristy postcard (blank)

1 non-touristy postcard (blank)

1 notecard with envelope

Include a note with your username and the swap name. Try to package all of your items so that they won't increase the chances of the envelope ripping in transit. Extras are an option but are not required. Send on time, rate quickly and kindly. I will NOT be banning anyone but I will NOT be angeling this swap, either. Let's build trust in one another, realize that sometimes we'll have to resend when the post office sends things astray, and have fun! Your ratings depend on it!

Tips for newbies: Join the Newbie Helpers group! All types of swaps are open to newbies there to help build ratings, plus the forums are a great place to ask questions and learn the ropes. Also, have a descriptive profile that's fun to read. Not all swaps are sender's choice, so give your partner something that makes them feel like they have a good grasp of who you are. A good rule of thumb is that you have to scroll down to read the whole thing. But don't make it a giant laundry list of dislikes! It's ok to include your allergies and list some items that you really don't have a use for, but when your whole profile is just things you don't like or want, it's kind of a downer. On the flip side, don't be too specific! It's fine to collect vintage postcards, but if you only collect the one from 1922, you're going to put some very difficult restrictions on your partners. Be open to new things and remember you can always give unwanted things away in future swaps!

Please read my profile once to understand what trouble i had to go through thanks to my email account getting hacked :(

Are these things we must include or just examples? ...Watching for now

same question as animal87x - the list you gave, is that what we are to include or are we to come up with our items? Just curious - watching!

Duplicate accounts have been deleted, leaving only a single active account. All items are sender's choice, all items listed are to be included as in previous swaps in this series. My apologies for the delay in assigning partners.

So it doesn't matter that they flaked on their prior accounts. Good to know your hosting practices.

Both of the people mentioned by TC still owe swaps to recently active members that they can and should make up rather than deleting their old profile and creating new ones in violation of the site's rules. You can see their old ratings still: heynizajude and Sacha. Deleting old accounts doesn't fix the problem...
