In this swap you will have one partner. It will be senders choice. Since people earn different I will not say how much to use, but be sure that you send something new, something that you would be happy to get yourself. Don't send several small items, 1 thing is fine. Wrap it as a gift and iclude a note telling who you are, where you from and tell how you spend your christmas. Put a to/from label on the gift so it can be under the christmas tree :)

Homemade things such as knitted sock etc is fine.
