Description:

It's been a long while since I hosted this swap. I really enjoyed it the last time, and received some great feedback. So for those that aren't familiar, in this swap you write ten "I remember" instances. Major or minor events from your life (typed or written--so long as it's legible). They don't necessarily have to be events in your life. They could also be about how things were, as opposed to now.

Example:

-I remember visiting my grandmother every summer as a child. We'd drive four hours to get there, and every time she'd be standing there on the porch in one of her floral dresses, her silver hair still styled in the fashion of her youth, so excited to see us.

-I remember watching the launch of the Space Shuttle Challenger in grade school and not understanding what had happened.

-I remember being excited about getting a pair of jelly shoes, even though there were so uncomfortable!

-I remember working at a grocery store when I was in high school and having to manually key in all the items, people writing checks, and the concept that the customer is always right.

They can be one liners. They can be multiply lines. Whatever you feel. BUUUUUUT, obvs, please put thought into it. Not, "I remember getting a new cat."

This is to go in a stamped envelope. I will angel if there are any flakes. Newbies welcomed.

Question? Concerns? Please send of PM. Thanks!

I work in a Writing Center, so I am all about a swap like this. I found it surprising though as I work on mine how therapeutic this is. It's amazing what little memories we have when we think back on our past and what we learned. This is a really cool swap! Thanks for hosting. I can't wait to read my partner's memories.

@aprilfoolzbaby86 so glad you've joined the swap! i've hosted this 2-3 times and it's always such a blast. you'll find that your swap partner will probably have a memory or two that will make you think of something you've completely forgotten about.
