USA only. If you want to host an international version let me know. For this swap you will have one partner and will create a Magpie journal no smaller than 4x6 with the theme of Love / Valentine / Romance. What's a magpie journal? A magpie is a bird related to the crow that is know as a collector. Similarly, people are called "magpies" when they collect things that seem to have little or no value. A magpie journal is basically a book filled with collected items. What to include inside the journal? Here are some ideas: Recipes/Menus/Postcards/Playing cards/Stickers/Tags and labels/ Interesting stamps /Coupons /Found items (as long as they're clean)/Notes /Grocery Lists /Poems /Song Lyrics/ Interesting bits of paper /Interesting ads /Flyers /Clippings from newspapers and magazines /Inserts /Labels from favorite products /Candy wrappers (make sure they aren't sticky) / Washi samples Try to include things that have visual interest or meaning. Feel free to add a note to explain why you included something if you'd like. Doodling on your pages is also ok. You can look it up examples online for a visual. You need to fill at least 30 pages of collected items. You don't need to fill an entire journal but you can if you would like to. Journals should be between approximately 4x6 and 5 x 7 inches. You can use a composition book or any other pre made journal or you can make your own. If you choose to make your own it MUST be sturdy. Decorate the cover to match the theme. You can get started as it's sender's choice and not partner-specific! I reserve the right to drop anyone from this swap for low ratings, recent unsent swaps, too many "1" ratings, etc. |
