Note: I tried this swap in two other groups with little success. I hope it finds a comfortable home here. For this swap, you will send your partner a book-related postcard with "literary wisdom" written or printed on it. I'm not just talking about any ol' quote from a book, but a quote from any fictional or poetic work that enlightens, inspires, or shows us the way. [Sacred texts, such as the Bible or Qur'an are not considered fictional or poetic works]. Please note that the literary wisdom does not have to be professionally printed on the front of the postcard. Any store-bought book-related postcard may be used. However, if you are sending a card that does not have a "pre-printed" literary messages, you must share the wisdom as part of the message you write on the back. The postcard must be store-bought and should be sent naked, unless you fear its mutilation through postal travel. Be sure to review your partner's profile for preferences and add a personal touch to the message on back. Don't just drop a quote on the back and leave it at that. Also, say "Hi!" and tell your partner where the quote comes from--title and author. In short, one store-bought, book related postcard to one partner that shares literary wisdom. |
