Hi All, I thought this would be a fun swap for those of us planning our Christmas meals or perhaps even just a single dish to take to a pot luck or party. Create (or use one you already have) a board for Christmas Meals, these could be Christmas Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, Desserts, Drinks, Cakes, Traditional, Modern, or perhaps Cultural (i.e I'm Australian and we always have a pavlova at Christmas time). Lets say the board should have at least 30 pins. When partner's are assigned send an email to your partners with a link to your board. Write in the email the following: Which is your favorite dish a Christmas time and a link to that recipe or dish (sometimes we can't find recipes online for family recipes but perhaps you could find one close or just a photo you might have uploaded yourself to pinterest). Which is a new recipe/dish your going to try this year. And, Which is a recipe/dish that is most common in your country/area during the Christmas season. Once you have sent the email, it might be helpful to send your partners a swap-bot message to let them know you have sent them an email, just in case the email ends up in spam. You don't need to be someone who celebrates Christmas to join the swap, perhaps you live in an area that doesn't celebrate but you would like to host a themed dinner party or perhaps you would like give a few of the recipes/dishes a try. But it is important for the swap that you have a pinterest board with a series of pins of Christmas meals. We will have 5 partners, feel free to BCC your partners in the same email, as your responses to the 3 questions will be the same and this swap is more a window into your ideas around your Christmas meals rather then a personalized connection to your partner. |
