Hi ladies! Thanks to lots of you for getting back to me re creating a junk journal. It sounds like there is interest so . . . . here goes: My interpretation of a junk journal is this: 'Junk' (unique) papers of a certain size bound together with some type of cover. That's really vague! Let's shoot for a purse-sized junk journal (somewhere between 4"x6"and 5"x7") with approximately 20-30 pages (counting front AND back) with a cover of some type (manila folder, book cover, etc.) There should be lots of space for your partner to 'journal' so every page needn't be completely filled. That said, there SHOULD be pockets plenty of cool features. I've seen so many youtube tutorials my head is spinning! You may choose to use envelopes to create your pages or unique pages you find. If you choose to use completely printed pages, find some way to add journal spots. Both @tigermousecat and I have purchased journal printables from the etsy seller, tsunamirose. . . That's something you might want to check out. I'm leaving a lot of room for interpretation in creating your junk journal because I know everyone in this group is conscientious and has an artistic flair. Please remember what you create might not be exactly what you will receive. I'm leaving lots of time for sign-up so you can check out tutorials, websites, etc. and even more time for creating. You might want to create two--one for your partner and one to keep! I carry one of these in my purse at all times--typically I create my own but I'm so excited to swap with other artists. Please join me! |
