Description:

Swap-bot is like a blind date, so let’s make Artist Trading Cards of Bachelor #1, Bachelor #2 and Bachelor #3. These could be portraits of your ideal date or some of the less than perfect characters that have crossed your path. Make a set of 3 ATCs each for 2 swap partners. All media welcome. This is an international swap.

ATC is short for Artist Trading Cards. This is a great format for artists and creative people to trade their artwork. The rules are simple: 1. These cards must be 2.5 by 3.5 (the size of a baseball card). 2. They are traded but not sold. This is a free exchange of art. Pretty radical actually. 3. These are CARDS, they shouldn’t be flimsy. On the back, put your contact information. Please put your swap-bot name somewhere on the card or envelope so the receiver can thank you. You can also sign, date and add a title on the back. There are web sites and live trading session where folks exchange ATCs. You can see some of my ATCs on my favorite trading site (if you sign up, tell ‘em wackystuff sent you): http://www.atcards.com/gallery/browseimages.php?do=member&imageuser=1400

I laughed so hard at your "example" that I peed a little. Love it, wackystuff! I always want to join your swaps but I am so new to trying ATCs I'm afraid I'd dissapoint the other participants. I'm practicing though and did work up enough nerve to do the Elvis, Jesus and John swap. (I think it would be bad karma to hate my Jesus card, so I'm emboldened!) Anyway just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your themes and examples.

Feel free to express yourself through ATCs. There is no correct way to do them and everyone can develop their own style. All you really need is a positive attitude. Please don't worry too much about what others may think of your work, just create things you would be happy to receive yourself.

Hi Suzi,

the main thing is that it is heartfelt. Try it and do your best - that's enough (for me).

This is a hilarious and brilliant swap theme. I absolutely love it.

My ATCs lack humor usually so this is what I need. I am going to join. Thanks so much for doing this!
