With the beginning of the new year, let's share our "firsts" with each other! This is going to be a quick simple swap. - jenii

I will be screening everyone and reserve the right to ban anyone for reasons deemed fit. I'm aiming for NO FLAKING!

TO PARTICIPATE, please make sure that you have: 4.7+, very very few no-sends and a filled profile. NEWBIES WELCOME, please contact me letting me know.

Simple Rules

  • International: please be understanding that some PO's are not as great as others and things ARE lost in the mail.
  • Do not send anything you would not like to receive.

The Minimum

  • 1 letter OR postcard with your "firsts of the year"

Theme: FIRSTS of the New Year In Japan, the firsts of the new year are important! So let's share with each other what the firsts of our new years are. Your first movie, outing, detail somethings (positive please!) of your new year to share! Please write your firsts in the form of a letter OR a postcard. If you do no specify which format you'd like to receive, it will be sender's choice. Also, you can include ticket stubs. photos or whatever you want. This is a simple swap to share with each other some of each others' lives :D I know, so cheezy.

what a great idea, D!

I would like mine a postcard, if possible, and I'll send my partner a postcard. Thanks!

babyamy 12/17/2008 #

I'd like to get a postcard and I'll send my "firsts" on a postcard, too.

TeaNi 12/27/2008 #

I've got this swap on my watchlist after seeing it featured in the swap-bot blog- great idea! I'd like to see the send deadline pushed back to January 8th, just to give us an entire week's cycle to write about, but I'll probably end up playing anyway!:)

mazzlestar 12/29/2008 #

I'm in either way, but I think pushing the send date back to the 8th so we have a full week would be a great idea too - has anyone asked @iamjenii about this idea?

iamjenii 12/30/2008 #

Oh hello there dears. To be honest, the 5th was only a tentative date but thank you all for the suggestion! I will comply :D

iamjenii 12/30/2008 #

Also, for all participants: If you choose NOT to specify what format (letter/postcard) you'd like to receive, it will be up to the sender to choose for you.

mazzlestar 12/31/2008 #

I think I'd prefer a letter, as you can fit more on it!

logiepogie 12/31/2008 #

Ohhh, it's is new years eve and I am so excited for this swap!! Letter for me please!! :)

TeaNi 01/ 1/2009 #

I would prefer a letter for the same reason as @mazzelstar stated, but having said that, I do not want to limit my partner's inspiration, and if they feel led to make it a postcard instead, that will be fine with me!:) Happy 2009!

Thanks everyone! I literally JUST got internet at my new place to work so I'll be checking profiles and assigning before the day is out! Sorry about the delay! *I will extend a few days to compensate as well. Thank you all for joining!

Must've been in the forums Jeni - not as much gets "lost in the mail" [I had a chuckle on that] as your disclaimer states - but I guess you have to put it out there, eh?
