This is an international, global swap, open to all who want to Celebrate the End of the Bush Regime. Newbies welcome. You have 5 swap partners to send a postcard to. Swappers with no-sends may be banned (unless you can really convince me that you have changed your ways.) Postcards must be mailed by January 20th, 2009. Bush's Last Day! Your Postcard can be purchased or hand-made. Most prefer their postcards to be mailed NAKED, that is, no envelope unless there is a good reason for it. Your postcard can depict President Bush, or any of his infamous cohorts. Perhaps Bush looks nice and presidential, or funny and stupid. This is the guy who was often misunderestimated. There are probably many of these postcards to be found in stores, but I suspect that soon they will be very rare, as we try to move on to something new, something hopeful perhaps. Rare and collectible reminders of this historical period. There are also many hilarious Bush postcards out there. Even the few Bush supporters who remain are usually up for a good laugh at his expense. Or the postcard can depict anything else. Perhaps you are tired of seeing his face, and suspect that others may also be ready for a big change. You could instead choose a postcard that reflects your hope for change. New possibilities. Remember that Bush’s Last Day is also Obama’s First Day. So perhaps you want to choose a card with that in mind. However, you must at least mention Bush’s Last Day on the back of the card, since that is what we are celebrating with this swap. In the few words you can fit on the back side, you may want to note some of the reasons you see for celebration. Perhaps you feel this is the Worst President Ever. Or you still suspect that he and his friends stole every election they participated in. Maybe it was deceptions about 9/11 which bother you, the lies that send us into war, the tax breaks for the rich that left us with poor schools and bad health care. When Bush took office, the price of gas was $1.46 per gallon and there was a surplus in the national budget. Now that that economy is in the toilet, we get a little relief in gas prices. Even though Bush long ago declared “Mission Accomplished†in the war, the quagmire drags on. There are many who feel that the Bush Regime should get one more term, but that it should be in PRISON. Impeachment would be too good. We hope those who advocated Torture For Cheney are joking. Surely there are many who will miss the grand opportunities for dark humor that this administration provided. Including all the women who proudly declared “The Only Bush I Trust is My Own.†Be sure to read the profile of the person you are sending each postcard to. Are they in another country? What are their interests and how can you respond to those interests? Remember, letting your recipient know that you read and responded to their profile is still the best was to get a great rating. This swap is open to newbies, so if you know friends who are really glad to see Bush go, perhaps you would like to turn them on to this swap and see if they want to participate. Spread the word! Involve others around the world! Plan a big party!
