I just know I'm not the only one with a huge stash of usless cds, saving them for that magical project that's going to come along any minute now! Well, here it is! Task: Alter three cds and send one to each of your partners. You have over a month from the sign-up deadline to the mailing date to work on the cds. You should contact your partner, or at the very least, state your preferences in the comments as to whether or not to decorate both sides, cover the hole or not, colors and themes you like, etc. Make sure you package them well for shipping, at the very least with plenty of bubblewrap and a padded envelope. A cardboard sandwich of several layers of corrugated cardboard each with a hole large enough for the cd in the center, and enough layers to make the hole deep enough to hold the thickness of your embellishments, then sealed in with a top and bottom layer of cardboard taped at the edges will help them travel safely to almost anywhere. Also!! Put the name of the swap, your name and username on the inside and outside of your envelope. Better to identify the contents if it gets mangled by the post office, and easier to identify which swap it's from so you can contact the sender to say that it's arrived. If there are a lot of people who'd like to do this internationally, I'll host another round a little later on. If you have a less than 3 rating, don't bother to sign up, or e-meil me first with reasons I should let you swap, If you are a newbie, e-mail me and we'll see. It's just so unpleasant when people work hard to make beautiful things to send out, and get nothing in return! |
