Description:

Do you have some fun double-sided paper in your stash, or do you need a reason to purchase some??

This swap is inspired by envies I received from @Rimbar . Let's make 2 envies with a matching card and seal, which you can do from the same piece of 12x12 craft paper.

I have made cards that are 4 1/2" x 6" and fit them inside an envelope folded from the remaining rectangle (6 1/2" x 12").

  • Cut a 4 1/2" strip off your 12x12 paper first. Then trim down to make a panel card: like a postcard, just a rectangular card that doesn't fold.
  • Use your remaining 6 1/2" x 12" paper to make an announcement style envie (or other if you're creative!):

What is an announcement style envie?

  • Use the remaining paper from your panel card to make a seal, either with a nice punch, or scissors. This can be a square if you like, nothing fancy needed.

  • OPTIONAL: Add a piece of coordinating cardstock to one side of your panel cards so it can be written on; Add adhesive to your envie flaps and the back of your seal; Any other embellishments optional.

In summary:

  • 1 partner

  • 2 envies from double-sided paper

  • 2 matching panel cards

  • 2 matching seals

Let's go!

I must be a dope...What is a Panel Card?

Actually I got this term when I was looking up what type of envie the "announcement" envie is. A panel card is simply one piece, not folded. Easy peasy!

I received some similar ones in a swap a while back. For the cards, my partner used large, lined, colored index cards. She cut out shapes from the printed envelope papers and attached them to the cards.

That is a really cool idea!
