After reading discussions from other swappers who use recycled items for their ATCs and after receiving some great blanks from MrsChef and camelsamba from recycled and found items, I decided to host a swap based on this concept. Similar to kerrlouise22’s Quick ATC Background swaps (Check hers out as well!) we will be swapping blanks, however there is just one slight difference. Partners are required to produce 30 ATC blanks from RECYCLED and FOUND items. We so often run to the store for our supplies that we often overlook wonderful options right under our nose. While this will be open to everyone and is international I do reserve the right to bump folks and will be checking for good ratings and no sends. New swappers please have your profile filled out before joining. Here is your challenge: -Produce 30 ATC blanks for your partner -Must be from recycled and found items -You may NOT use scrap booking papers or card stock -Other types of paper can be used, but please be creative -All blanks must be at least card stock thick-if you must, reinforce finds with cardstock -No repeats in design, but repeated sources are allowed -You must have at least 6 different sources for your blanks, for instance all your blanks can NOT be cut from magazines. I would prefer you finding as many sources as possible, but understand some may be limited on this. Finding them is half the fun. -Send blanks that are nice, useful, clean (keeping in mind that some will be recycled) and that you would enjoy receiving -Finalize swap with a note listing what you used for your ATC blanks, maybe where you found items. -Consider hearts for creativity Here are a few items that you may consider using that I’ve seen mentioned and used in other ATC swaps: fabrics, thin metals and metal mesh, greeting cards, tissue paper, wrapping paper (who doesn’t have a ton of this right now?), book and magazine pages, cardboard, ephemera, maps, leather, and the list goes on. Enjoy and Happy Swapping! I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!
