Description: | |
Midsummer's Eve is June 24. Let's celebrate by sending each other summer holiday letters. Grab your quill and pick any character from an Austen novel. Then write your partner a letter from them. What might your letter include? Mrs. Bennet's recipe for Salmagundy. A helpful household hint from Charlotte Collins. A ghost story told by Geogiana Darcy. The trials and tribulations of Anne de Bourgh. Intimate details of Kitty Bennet's latest romantic interlude at Bath. The possiblities are endless! What form will your letter take? It might be a traditional letter or perhaps you'll be sending an invitation to a summer picnic or soiree. What ever you send, don't fret over your handwriting, just have fun. Recipients, please be open to receiving any sort of greeting, in the spirit of fun and community. Senders, please feel free to be as ridiculous or sincere as you like, Pride and Prejudice seems to encourage an appreciation for creative heights of silliness and courage in its readers. I will of course attempt to weed out the Wickhams in the party. You must be a member of the Austen Aficionado Group to participate. |
