Description:

Hey how about another scavenger hunt.

For this swap you will find 10 things out of the following categories. These items need to be clipped out of magazines.

  1. a recipe
  2. a picture of an animal
  3. a map (or a picture of a map)
  4. a feel good story
  5. a story that made you cry
  6. a joke
  7. a puzzle
  8. a comic
  9. a useful tip
  10. a craft idea
  11. a coupon (not expired)
  12. a book review
  13. an ad for a product you personally use or buy
  14. a picture of a child
  15. the name of any website.

I know some people hoard there magazines and would never dream of cutting them up soooo if you must you can send your partner photocopies out of the magazines. Please be sure to adhere to copywrite laws. We don't need anybody going to jail for a swap.

You will have 1 partner. Newbies welcome. Please over a 4.5 rating. This is international since postage should be cheap. Please be sure the articles are in English.

I have a question. I live in a non-english speaking country, and while I do have some English magazines (and will be able to find most things in there) I doubt that I will be able to find an English cartoon, joke or puzzle. Could I instead send those in my own language? Or would it be better to find something online and print that out for my partner instead?

I would wait until partners are assigned then contact your partner. If it's okay with them then it's okay with me.

Alrighty, thanks :) I actually already found more English things than expected! So that's great.

Hey, I have been having so much fun looking for these things!!! I just can't find a picture of a map. Anyone know what kinds of magazines have maps in them? Thanks!

AAA magazines have maps in them; also travel mags.

I think it would be fun to recieve that stuff from international traders.

Does each person pick 10 of the 15 things listed above and send one of each of those to their partner? I think that's what you mean but it's not clear so thought I would ask.

You should end up sending your partner 10 items. Sorry if anything was unclear.

Marilyn 12/29/2008 #

Should these clippings be pasted into a journal or book of some kind? Or should they be sent as clippings?

Thanks, Marilyn

Mamabemus 12/31/2008 #

They can be sent as clippings but I'm sure if you put them into some sort of journal your partner would give you a heart.

A big package of clippings is en route to my partner. Have fun with everything!
