Journal of Individuality

This is a prompted journal swap for women in the USA. Feel free to host a co-ed swap or an international version if you'd like.

You will need a journal no smaller than 4.5 x 6.5 inches and 50 pages. You may need more pages - please look at the prompts before choosing your journal and decide what you need. 50 pages will allow for one page per prompt.

This journal is all about the sender’s choice. You may choose to do an all written journal, an art journal, or a combination of the two. You may embellish the journal as much as you’d like. If you are doing a written journal, you must write legibly and a decent amount! Write something you’d like to receive. Don’t just answer with one word, flesh out the answer more and write at least a paragraph.

The prompts are all different - some are questions to answer, some ask for a list of something, some are a single word or phrase. If it is a single word or phrase… it is open to your personal interpretation! For example, one prompt simply says, “Family”. Does that mean tell about your family? Add a photo of your family? List your family members and their names? Draw a family? It’s all up to your interpretation! Answers can be serious, funny, satire, etc.

You may answer the prompts in any order. Include a “Table of Contents” in the journal - at the end, at the beginning, or as a separate piece (or pieces) of paper tucked into the journal OR write the prompt at the top of each page. If you do the “Table of Contents”, be sure to number each page of the journal to make it easier to navigate.

When you mail this, be sure to include your username and swap name. Do not send via Media Mail. It’s not very reliant.

Requirements to Join

• Female (I’m not sexist or discriminating - I simply don’t swap with males, so feel free to host a co-ed swap if you’d like.)
• USA address (If you want to host an international version, feel free)
• Rating of 4.98 or higher
• At least 30 “real mail” swaps (Type 2 and 3 combined)
• No 1’s owed to active members.
• No 1’s or 3’s in the last 6 months.
• Upon joining, post a comment with a prompt (not found on the list of prompts) for your partner to answer in their journal. If you haven’t commented with a prompt before I assign partners, I will have to remove you from the swap.

Miscellaneous Host Info

• I will angel this swap if needed, once you have tried communicating with your partner, rated them a 1, and notified me.
• I do check profiles before assigning partners. If someone joins that doesn't meet all the requirements, rest assured they will be removed prior to signing partners. I cannot be online constantly, so you may see them in for a while, but they will be removed directly prior to my assigning partners.
