Description:

As a former English major, the one thing I miss the most about college is the writing workshops; particularly nonfiction. There is just something special about sharing your life experiences through writing with total strangers. It gives you a glimpse into their life, and connects you in such a unique way. With that being said...

WRITING PROMPT: Kitchens

A lot can happen in the kitchen. Maybe you have fond memories of cooking with your grandma there, or maybe you were in the kitchen when you received an important phone call. I know that I, myself, have had many life-altering, painful, and beautiful moments in my kitchen. Moments that I would love to document in writing and share with some strangers.

So, your challenge for this swap is to write a short, nonfiction essay; you decide how long it is, but obviously it should be long enough that your readers don't feel like they've been left hanging. Please don't wait until the last minute and send a rushed essay!

You will be assigned three different partners, and you will send the same essay to each partner. However, since this is a workshop, the swap doesn't end there! After you have received your essays from your swap partners, please email them back! Tell them what you liked about the essay, your initial reaction to it, your emotions while reading it, and advise them on different parts you think could use a little work. Remember, this is a workshop, so friendly criticism is not only welcomed, but it is encouraged!

Who knows? Maybe somebody from this swap will get their essay published!

Please no recent 1's or 3's, and no flakers!

Great idea, although I like paper swaps better than electronic (partly because too many swaps disappear (probably into spam).

Hi Junemoon, I agree, I also prefer paper swaps. However, writing an entire essay out by hand would be very time consuming. And it would also be easier to give feedback through emails as well.

Just print out the essays you get if you like to read them on paper!

I agree; I prefer paper swaps as well. Writing a full article by hand, on the other hand, would take a long time https://writemydissertationforme.co.uk/buy-dissertation/ as a professional agency, can assist you with your dissertation challenges by helping you through each step and resolving any issues you may have. It's also one of the reasons why students opt to buy dissertations in order to avoid little mistakes that might have a big impact on the final results.
