I have been interested in origami ever since the third grade when a lady from Japan came to our class and taught us how to have an authentic tea ceremony and fold paper cranes. It is such a beautiful artform but I have never taken the time to learn how to fold anything else. So, I propose an origami swap . . . 1)Find a web site (or book) with a complete and clear set of instructions on how to make something (anything!) out of origami. Print the website off 3 times! The instructions should be clear enough that ANYBODY can follow and understand so review the instructions and make your own notes to clarify, if need be. I want people to have success with this! 2)Include a completed sample so that your partners can see what your paper folding project looks like. This swap is simple enough that you can participate even if you have never HEARD of origami (paperfolding)! There are TONS of sources on the internet and in books - all you have to do is print something off and make sure it is easy to understand! Now for the "Red Tape" . . . This is an International Swap. Typical Rules Apply. Newbies can join IF they have completed profiles and email me personally. Members must have a rating of 4.0 with no "no sends" to participate unless you contact me directly to explain. For obvious reasons I reserve the right to ban anybody I think might flake. Happy Paper Folding, EvERyBOdy! |
