When you receive from round 1, rate your partner here on swap-bot, add 1-2 pages of your own to that book, and send in the order above for the next round.

The original swap: We love 80's music, so let's make a Lyrix book themed with 80's music. :) A lyrix is similar to a Friendship Book, but rather than just adding names and addresses, you add some favorite song lyrics, and can decorate the page as well. The original idea, I think, was to find others with similar music likes, for a new pen pal. You can read the Wikipedia definition of Friendship Books, including Lyricx HERE

There are many different ways to make FB's & the like. But for this swap, to give us a starting point, let's do this:

Make a mini-zine like booklet. You can find instructions HERE if you're not sure how to make the booklet. Another option I found that is similar is HERE

Make a cover for the booklet. Something like "80's Lyricx" could be a good title, and be sure to put your info (name, address and swap-bot ID) somewhere on the booklet.

Start the book off yourself with the lyrics from one of your favorite 80's songs, and decorate the page however you like. Pages used to be decorated with teen magazine pictures, but as we won't be able to find those easily, you can find images online to print to use for decoration. You can either write/decorate directly onto the page, or arrange your decoration on a separate piece of paper, then glue or tape it into the booklet if you wish.

You can use as much or as little decoration as you wish. Lyrics can be typed and added to the page, or handwritten. You don't have to include the lyrics for the full song, just the refrain or a section of the song is fine. Add the name of the artist and the name of the song to each entry. For decoration, anything goes - let your inner 80's child shine! :)

Once you have made your booklet, decorated the cover and added your info, and started off the booklet with the first page, send it on to your partner. We will use swap-bot to assign partners. Once everyone has received and rated their partners, we will set up another round of the swap to be added to the booklet you received from your partner. You will then send it on to your SB partner, and so on. If we make the booklets with 6-8 pages each, we will be able to get our booklets back fairly quickly.

If you have ANY questions, or if the directions don't make sense, please let me know! We will do this as a private swap, so just the 3 of us will be adding to these booklets, and this way we can get them back! :) But we can agree on send by dates and such.
