Description:

Ho, Ho, Ho!

I can see by my expanding waistline and kitchen full of cookies that Christmas is coming! I wanna send out cards! Don't you?

The Deets

This is a two-partner swap - so pay attention and send out TWO cards - one to each partner!

This swap is super simple and low stress: Buy two Christmas cards, write a little note inside, and send it to your partners. What you write is up to you. You could tell your partner about your Christmas menu, share a memory, relay your story about your fist fight on Black Friday... or anything, really, as long as it's more than "Merry Christmas!"

No cheating. What does that mean? You can't just write down your favorite Christmas quote or joke, sign your name, and call it a day. Write a few sentences - you can do it!

Remember - this is low stress! That means you are not required to decorate the envelope, include a flat surprise, or a tea bag. Hey, if you want to do it, go ahead - however, you are not at all required to do so.

The Doggone Grinchy Rules:

  • Be sure to include your swap-name and name of swap in the note card!

  • No quotes. Write a note in the card - at least four sentences long.

  • No recent 1's or unexplained 3's. In fact, probably no 1's at all - but if you had a retaliatory 1 or an unfair 1 from a few years ago, we'll talk. I'm an understanding gal... to a point! :)

  • No newbies. If you aren't sure if you're a newbie or not, then you probably are.

  • If you receive a Christmas card with a note written inside, rate a 5.

WORTH MENTIONING

While I tend not to have a minimum rating posted on my card swaps, be forewarned - I do check profiles. I check to see if there are comments to low ratings (and sometimes even email your partner to see if you attempted to make it right), I check dashboards to see if there are swaps with past due dates, and also try to keep abreast of problem swappers and weed them out as well. That includes drama llamas, non-raters, and just plain old sucky people.

Q. What does the Gingerbread Man use to make his bed?

A. Cookie sheets!
