Short Story with a Prompt

For this swap series there will be a writing prompt and you will write a short story of at least 3 pages. (does not have to be front and back) and send to your partner. There is only ONE rule to this swap, the prompt must be the first line of your story, but you can write WHATEVER kind of story you like. So if you get offend in any way please do not join this swap. Include one tuck in that is related to your story, stickers, ATC, paper, buttons, ephemera, as long as it pertains to your story! Don't forget to include the swap name and your user name.

The door was closed, and as I put my hand on the handle, I felt afraid of what we might find

No recent 1s or 3s without explanation. DO NOT rate down because you didn't like the story! If you get a story that meets the requirements you must rate a 5, heart is up to you. must have at least a 4.98 rating.
