This is an easy swap for those of us who love used vintage postage stamps and making note cards. By vintage, the stamps will be the ones that don't have the peel off adhesive on the back; most likely you will need to use a glue stick with them. I have a lot from a childhood album from the 70s. I decided a few years ago to use them, rather than storing them away. They aren't worth anything money-wise, but they're sure fun to use for mail art, cards, swapping, etc. :) So...if this intrigues you and you're inspired by the card I made (see swap photo), get out your vintage postage stamps and glue stick and have some fun showing off some of your stamps. For my card, I started with a 5 x 3 3/4 white layer and covered it with red stamps. I then adhered it to a coordinating red background layer and then added that to a folded white card. You can do it this way with layers, or feel free to glue your stamps directly to a folded card. You can also do any color combination you want. Please write a nice note inside the cards to your partners. We'll do 2 cards (1 for each partner) because I found I couldn't just stop at one card. :) Have fun with it. Lastly, please send on time and rate promptly. |
