Description:

This swap is for a jar filled with pink and brown goodies. Any and everything can be included in this: paper clips, fabrics, ribbons, embellishments, brads, eyelets, buttons, stamps, beads, or whatever will fit in the jar. The lid must fit on the jar.

Along with the whimsy jar you will send your partner something from their profile. So make sure you have a filled out profile as well!

You will need to decorate the outside of the jar as well as fill the inside. The jar must be filled to the top. The jar should be at least 2 - 4 inches tall(like a small peanut butter jar). Baby food jars are okay. If you use an old food container, be sure to clean throughly. We don't want anything sticky or stinky coming through!

Newbies to whimsey jars are welcome, as this is the first whimsy jar I have ever made. However, newbies are not allowed.

Stipulations to join:

  • Must have ratings in at least 10 package swaps (no emails, post cards or christmas card swaps)

  • Rating must be 4.9 or higher

  • No NO SENDS whatsoever! I have to protect my other participants.

  • Anyone with questionable ratings may be banned at my discretion. I have to go with my instincts and will always try to protect my participants.

This is USA only. If you want an international swap, you are more then welcome to create one.

2 1/2 inches isn't very tall...isn't a baby food jar taller than that?

MamaLove 12/31/2008 #

I am curious to that as well.?.?.

The jar I used was the size of a small peanut butter jar. I'll edit that, let's say 2-4 inches tall. That gives you some lee way. As to the type of jar. Sorry for the confusion!

I also edited it to say that baby food jars would be okay. Just make sure they are at least 2 1/2 inches high.

My question is where is all the pink and brown stuff? I am having trouble finding some stuff, also can it be just pink and just brown or must it be the two colors?

crochetjunkie 01/23/2009 #

no it doesn't have to be both colors. it can be one or the other, just fill the jar with a combination of pink and brown.

Examples: pink paperclips, pink post-it notes, brown scrabble tiles, brown beads, brown cross stitch floss, pink buttons, pink & brown ribbon, pink heart shaped eyelets, brown leaf shaped brads, etc. I hope this helps.

I understand about not being able to find pink and brown combo. I am in a lucky parcel swap that is like that and I am having some serious trouble finding that combination.
