Description:

I was cruising around the internet looking a pictures of cards and found an older technique I hadn't tried yet but want to, so thought I would make a swap for it!

It's the "Caught in Crystal" technique, using alcohol inks and floor polish on acetate...I think the results are stunning, and hope that others will want to play with this too... The online tutorial I found is from England, and the narrator has a great accent!

Tutorial here!

Check it out & if you want to make something with it, join in!

For the swap you will have one partner and will make one item with this technique--you can make a tag, a bookmark, an ATC, a greeting card or other paper craft...

Colors are sender's choice, so you can get started before partners are assigned. Since the wax/inks need to dry overnight, the swapping period will be a bit longer than usual for my swaps.

Message me if you have any questions, or post below!

Looks like a super fun swap! I need to check and make sure I can get the supplies before joining! :)

LOL! I don't keep floor polish on hand and had to buy a bottle of it for this project...

Yeah, that was what I need to check to see if I can get around here - I don't think I have ever used floor wax! 😜 Do you think it has to be the Pledge brand of floor wax or do you think any brand of floor wax will work?

I got a different kind, and it seems to be working...I think if you had collage pauge or mod podge, that would work too...
