An invitation to One and All. Mrs Leandrea Wallis requests the pleasure of your company Your host : Mr Bryan Wallis The swap: We will be choosing an evening outfit that we might wear to the ball at the Rose & Crown. Roughly in the period 1785 to 1812. Our task for this swap will be to find such a robe, be it out of your imagination, on postcard, Pinterest, or via museum images. Print out the image, or draw it, to fit onto the insides of a folding card. Or as in the image above, a focus on part of the gown. You may choose to glue the image/s inside the folding card or leave it loose. On the front of the card, add the words suggesting an invitation such as “Amberleigh Ball, at the Rose & Crown” you may then decorate it with as much gusto or as little as you require. You may also include images of your escort or shoes, fan, jewellery, hairstyle, etc if you are super enthusiastic. Please keep the decorating flat, as it will be tucked somewhere to enhance your partners journal pages. To accompany your art, include a short letter to your partner, perhaps in the character you might have chosen in Amberleigh village in the forum thread, and include a sachet tea bag sealed. Check your partners profile to see if they drink tea, or prefer another beverage. So the 3 items will be: Decorated Card as described above. We hope you might like to join us in attending the ball at the Rose & Crown Inn. Jane and Anna |
