Description: | |
Look through any magazines, catalogs, etc and find a picture that will fit on a postcard. This is not a collage, it's one picture that you find that's about the size of a postcard. Cut-n-paste the picture onto a piece of cardboard, the inner 4x6" cardboard you cut out to make the frame guide. or old cereal boxes, or heavy cardstock. I like to cut out a 4x6' hole in a piece of larger cardboard, then use the frame as a guide, framing the magazine image to see if it's suitable. International. You will be assigned one partner. Send the postcard with a short note on the back. I like to write where I got the cut-out picture from (as well as a short greeting). Include your swap-bot ID and name of the swap on the postcard. Important administration stuff: Nudge My least favourite job as a host but it is my duty as coordinator. I send out nudge 'please rate' messages around the one month mark after everyone has mailed their cards. Please, no serial nudging, it makes my hosting job harder. Rate quickly so it doesn't end up forgotten in a pile of postcards. If you usually wait until you get a nudge, don't do that please, as I said, it's my least favourite hosting job. If you haven't received a postcard around the one month mark, let me know. Blank comments I insist on no blank comments. When rating, include a description of the card. I want the sender to feel that their card was noticed. I want everyone to feel that the time and money they spend on making and sending a card has been acknowledged. Example of what you could write: Thank you for {describe the item}. It brightened my day...Thank you for the Van Gogh sunflower postcard. It brightened my day. Finished I check to see that everyone is rated and will add a "Finished" stamp to the Discussion section when all postcards are sent, received and rated. |
