Description:

Calling all washi tape lovers! Letā€™s play with our washi and share some of it too! Itā€™s super easy to make lovely notecards with washi tape.

Swap details

  • 2 partners
  • Create a washi card for each partner. Your cards can be similar to the card I made for the swap photo, or you can look for other washi card inspiration online. Itā€™s all good. (One tip I have for using washi to make cards is to wrap the strips to the back of a card layer and adhere that layer to your folded card base. This ensures the ends of the ā€œnot so stickyā€ tapes donā€™t peel up.)
  • Write a note inside each card, telling a little about you and what you enjoy. (Itā€™s interesting that we swap with people all over the world and yet, hardly ever really get to know anyone.)
  • Choose 8 different washi tapes to share with each partner. Each sample should be 21 inches/53.34 centimeters and wrapped on a shiny surface for easy removal. (No plain, glitter, or Dollar Store tapes).
  • Put the tapes in the cards and the cards in envelopes and seal them.
  • Decorate the envelopes with colorful washi tapes!
  • Address the envelopes, add proper postage, and send them on their merry way.

Isnā€™t it so cool how far or sometimes surprisingly close our envelopes travel to brighten the lives of our partners?! šŸ˜€
