This swap will be similar to the "Home Sweet Home" PenPal Swap - but with an important difference! Have you ever had a particular home that you just loved? My mother-in-law raised her children in a converted schoolhouse that burned down two months after they sold it. To this day, she will not go back to that site because she has so many happy memories from living there and she doesn't want to see that her home is gone. What home makes you smile when you remember it? Perhaps it is your current home, or perhaps it was your childhood home. Maybe it was your first apartment...the first house you lived in with your spouse...the 14x21 foot trailer you lived in with your husband and seven children when you were building your dream home...just an ordinary house that had a terrific garden or was near your favorite store...whatever it was write a minimum 2 page letter (but more is fine) and tell your partners what made that home so special, how long you lived there, why you moved (if you did), any challenges living there might have posed...Whatever. Also, since this is a NOSTALGIC swap, please include a tea bag for your partner to enjoy while reading your letter AND an additional item related in some way to your letter. (Interpret that last sentence any way you wish!) Fine Print: International swap, newbies welcome. A rating less than 4.0 or any "no sends" will get you banned unless you email me with a very good explanation. Please clear up any "no sends" before joining this swap! I am putting a quick turn around on this swap because we don't need to know who are partners are to write our letter. |
