Hi swappers! Let's follow Deborah's (Attic Lane) tutorial, found HERE to create a many-layered tag for our partners. While Deborah doesn't give a specific size (or I missed it), let's use a larger size base tag so we'll have room to go down in size for the subsequent layers. Let's shoot for 6-8 layers total. Deborah has a crop-a-dile punch which easily punches this many layers; if you don't have a heavy-duty punch, you may have to punch layers separately before stacking. At one point in the video, Deborah shows putting a bit of adhesive between layers to hold them. Let's NOT do that--let's let ours swing free. Try to include some of the edging techniques used in the video: stitching, torn edges, inking, glittering, rubber stamping, etc., to add interest to your tag. Use colors that inspire you and have fun creating something very special for your partner! |
