Poetry in a Pretty Pocket

Dear Ladies,

February is such a sentimental month and what better way to emulate that in a swap than to feature poetry, the language of the heart. Let us send our partner a poem, something written in the 18th century about the affairs of the heart. There is much to choose from, all worthy of being shared with a dear friend.

For this swap we shall have one partner to whom we send a poem written or typed onto a pretty card and put in a lovely pocket you will create for it. Use the photo above as your inspiration for the pocket, but please add a heart or flower to your pocket in keeping with our hearts and flowers theme for the moth of February. Include a little note, in character, if you like and tell why you chose the poem you are sending. Is it a particular favourite or perhaps a verse someone shared with you that you enjoyed? Let us make this a special offering, creating something that you would happily put in your journal.
