I'm really enjoying the postcard swaps. I as an art teacher I love to encourage getting to know about art and artist. For this swap you need to go to your local museum (if there is one) and look around. When you are done either buy 3 postcards with your favorite peice of art on it or make 3. Give a brief explanation on the back as to why you like it or how it makes you feel. Send them to each one of your 3 partners. If there is no local museum look on the web for online museums. Then for your postcards you can make 3 or print them off the web.

How about postcards used by artists to announce their newest shows? I have a lot of them from local artists as well as those farther afield. Cyn

is it ok if the postcards aren't from our hometown? i have a ton that are from museums in europe and other places.

Postcards from artists announcing shows are just great, remember to write a little something about why you chose it though. And postcards from other places than your hometown is just as great too!!!!

Just found this one! Love the art-related swaps and will be at the MFA in Boston the 21st so my post cards will come from there!

I have rec'd all three post cards! This was fun, I've not participated in a post card swap before! Thank you to Lava Rocky, beckra and Jeanne3k for the lovely cards and interesting comments. I loved seeing the artists you chose and hearing about why you like them!! :O)

Did anyone receive a post card from me yet? I'm a tad worried, I left them at the desk of the hotel in NYC last Tues or Wed (stamped, of course) and would like to know that they did, in fact, send them out. Thanks! :O)
