Hi swappers! Let's follow Gina's (FireflyStudio67) tutorial, found HERE to create 2 beautifully embellished paper clips for our partners. Gina is using a nearly 3" clip; if you have those, use them; if not, use the large paper clips which measure 2". Aim to include approximately 4-5 layers of paper and add an embellishment and/or a word(s) to the front of the stacked papers. Machine sew or glue--whichever you prefer. Gina hand sews her stacked embellishment before gluing it onto the papered clip. You may also glue your embellishment pieces or sew them with your machine. You can actually sew on a button with a machine by setting your stitch length to '0' and using a zig-zag stitch. Just make certain you turn the hand wheel to get the correct size zig zag before sewing or you'll crack the button. I love that these are a larger size, making them a bigger part of a journal page. I hope you like them enough to make some with me! |
