Hi swappers! Let's follow another of Tina's tutorials, found HERE to create two fold-outs for our partners' junk journals. I'm going to amend her tutorial in one way: cut your 8.5"x11" paper into two pieces, giving you 2 pieces, each measuring 8.5" x 5.5". You'll only be cutting across one of the sections in each piece to create your flap. Even with halving the size, each foldover will still have loads of room for journaling. Please send your partner 2 different patterns. You may begin with any type of paper (scrapbook, tea-dyed, collaged, etc); just make certain the finished product has some type of pattern or embellishment. Your pieces should be no taller than 7" with the flap folded (a bit shorter is fine). These look very simple to create and will provide a nice amount of journaling space. Enjoy working with colors and patterns that inspire you and have fun! |
