This will be an email based swap, and you will have 3 partners. You can send the same email to all partners if you wish, just be sure to use the BCC function. Pictures/graphics are allowed, but not required.

This is a swap I hosted in another group, and @jessnewson98 was interested in for this group too. (So it's recycled in case it looks familiar.)

There's a quote from Shirley Jackson's 'We Have Always Lived in the Castle" that I've remembered since I first read it, some 25 years ago. -

"The last time I glanced at the library books on the kitchen shelf they were more than five months overdue, and I wondered whether I would have chosen differently if I had known that these were the last books, the ones which would stand forever on our kitchen shelf.” ― Shirley Jackson, We Have Always Lived in the Castle

Since the world changed back in March, I've had some library books sitting on the shelf and frequently when I walk past them, I think of this line. I thought this might be something fun to share as a swap. So, if you have some library books still at home from months ago before stay at home orders started, please share with us! :)

So, for this swap, you will have 3 partners, and you will send them an EMAIL with the titles and authors of the books - or the names of audio books, DVD's, etc .... - that you last checked out of the library, and have been keeping you company ever since! If you wish, you can snap a picture of the books/materials as well and attach it to the email, but that's not a requirement.

Then share with your partner - have you read/watched them? If not, why not?

And - do you know yet when your library will be re-opening to the public?

And - during this shut down, did you use an e-library service for books and materials?

If you have any questions about the swap, or wish to see a snail mail version, please just send me a PM. :) (I am really terrible at remembering to check the comments section.)

I'm going to set this up as an email swap because I know everyone will be able to join that way. But if you would prefer a snail mail swap as well, please send me a PM and let me know you'd be interested. I don't mind doing both, but our post office reported that mail is moving very slowly still in and out of the country.
