Flat Georgette Swap

Have you heard of “Flat Stanley”? It is a children’s book series about a little boy who gets squashed flat by a falling bulletin board. Stanley survives and makes the best of being flat. He can now fit in an envelope, and travel through the mail, having many wonderful adventures.

School age kids make a paper doll version of themselves to send off to friends and family who treat him like a visiting guest. They send back pictures and letters of the interesting activities their flat visitor experienced.

With that same idea, we will create our own “Flat Georgette” to spend time with. She can be a paper doll version of yourself or simply a new friend.

Spend some time taking pictures and writing stories of your own adventures to email back to your partner. She can spend time doing every day activities with you or you may choose to take her out and about for a grand time. You may interact as your character or as yourself it is sender’s choice for this one.

Aim to send back no fewer than five entries/pictures.

This may be an ongoing swap where we can eventually send out our”Flat Georgette” to our partners for some additional fun - so be sure and keep her safe.
