Hello crafters! With permission, I am hosting a US Only Pocket Letter Swap!

For this swap, we will each create one full (nine) pocket letter for one partner featuring the Mail theme.

Mail theme examples may include anything related to and/or decorated with:

  • Postage stamps (new & used, domestic or foreign)
  • Air mail stickers
  • Envelopes (Ernie the Envie!!) & Seals
  • Letters, Writing, Typewriters, Pen & Quill
  • Stationery Papers, Cards, & Lettersets
  • Happy-Mail or Snail-Mail
  • “Please Deliver To” & Address Labeling

Decorate the front of the pocket letter according to a philatelic theme. Each pocket should have an “ATC-sized” decoration in front.

Fill EIGHT pockets with useful mail-related goodies (e.g. stickers, stamps, washi tape samples, ephemera, ribbon, etc).

Fill ONE pocket with a personalized letter to your partner that includes the swap name and your username somewhere on it. ———————————————- Participation Requirements:

*A rating of 4.98 or higher. *No recent 1's or 3's (within the past 6 months). *If you have 1's or 3's that are older than 6 months, they must be fully explained with a rating response comment. I will decide if you will be allowed into this swap on a case-to-case basis. *Send on time. Rate upon receiving this swap. Please communicate with your partner and myself if you will be late sending or rating. *If required, I will angel this swap after you have rated your partner a 1 rating.

*Please feel free to contact me anytime if you have any questions regarding this swap. Happy crafting!

Because I’m interested to learn, here’s an idea/prompt for the letter portion of this swap:

-What got you started SWAPPING? Or Why do you enjoy it?!

Anyone concerned by the “full” pocket letter size?

Please don’t let that deter your participation, as I am willing to change to either a six or three pocket swap too!

Just message or comment if you want some flexibility or need more time too!

So we’re to decorate the front in a snail mail theme using the items you put under “examples of snail mail that are acceptable”? I’m a bit confused. I get putting goodies in the back. I don’t get using those examples to make the front. A nine pocket is great by the way.

Here’s an example I just found:

@fiennesgirl Thanks so much for asking! I will edit this to hopefully better clarify that the front decor need be done in any mail-related theme of your choice! This can be using Air mail, Happy Mail, Snail Mail, Letters & Correspondence, etc! Simply keeping with a philatelic theme! ;-) Hope that clears it up & you’ll be able to join in the fun!

One more question...you said that the goodies have to be mail-related? Is that technically just things with envelopes, mailboxes, air mail things only or can we just send things to be used in making mail like ephemera with other things on it,etc. I’m just curious because I really want to join this swap, but don’t want to make any mistakes with it. Lol! This swap sounds like a lot of fun!

@fiennesgirl Yes! You can certainly tuck-in any “things to be used in making mail“ like postage stamps, ephemera, and washi!

I’ve also extended the sign-up date for those seven “watchers” to finish up some of their other swap commitments and hopefully join us!
