I enjoy making & using nice handmade envelopes! Do you?

  • ONE (1) Partner

  • FOUR (4) Well-made Envelopes (total)

  • A6 (4.5 x 6.25”) OR A7 (5.25 x 7.25”) Sized

  • Decorate TWO (2) Envies with themes or include mail art add-ons (such as decorative labels, seals, or stickers).

Please keep ”FLAT & MAILABLE” in mind as you create your envies with collages, paper piecing, hand painting, etc. Oh, there’s always Ernie the Swap-bot logo envie for inspiration too!!!

  • Please use STURDY paper-weight that’s able to withstand a snail-mail journey. No flimsy, thin envies, y’all!

NOTE: Anything that’s the thickness of computer paper, dollar tree calendars, newsprint, book, or magazine page weight MUST be lined for reinforcement. Please do not send any torn envies either. I’ve had problems in the past with envies made on punch boards that were either scored too harshly or using brittle and unforgiving papers, so they were torn on the seams and useless as an envelope. I know that sometimes this happens by accident when folded on the score lines in the “wrong way” too. My teacher taught me to always fold away from the score lines. Should this happen while making your envies, pre-tape the inner side of the scored lines BEFORE gluing it together. That way no pretty papers get wasted!

Use a punch board, tracing template or just tear open an envelope you have and use it as a base!

Rate a 5 Promptly upon receipt of four postcard-sized, decorative HM envies!

Any Q’s? Plz contact me via direct message.

Happy swapping 😁
